Quapaw Tribe 2018–2038 Long Range Transportation Plan Document
The objective of this LRTP is to provide guidance to tribal leaders so that they might take advantage of transportation facilities and vehicular traffic to fulfill desirable economic development opportunities, provide access to new and old development, protect community resources and traditions, complement surrounding public transportation facilities, and enhance the use of the Tribe's land by its residents.Additional Info...
This transportation plan is intended to be fiscally and developmentally sound and to address the funding issues and eligibility restrictions associated with 25 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 170 Tribal Transportation Program (TTP), Final Rule, published November 7, 2016 (Tribal Transportation Program, 25 C.F.R., 2016).
This transportation plan is a flexible, responsive, short and long-term plan, adaptable to the changing transportation needs and conditions within the Quapaw community. It summarizes road maintenance, improvements, and projects for use by the Tribe in implementing a Transportation Improvement Program to meet current and projected twenty-year transportation needs. The Tribe uses this plan as the basis for programming and budgeting future roadway improvement projects while recognizing that such priorities and improvements change over time.
The priority list, attached as Appendix B: Quapaw Tribe Roads Priority List, shall be reviewed and modified as needed on an annual basis. The plan shall be updated every five to seven years, or when major changes in land use or programming develop.
