Tribal Library
The Quapaw Nation Tribal Library is dedicated to providing access to a wide variety of resources to the Quapaw Nation and its members. Our library offers a variety of books, magazines, newspapers, and multimedia materials that are suitable to the interests of all ages. We also offer a wide selection of Native American resources, including books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials. Additionally, our library provides access to several online research databases, offering our patrons access to a wealth of information. We strive to support the educational and cultural needs of our community by providing a safe and welcoming environment. Our library staff is available to help patrons with their research and library needs.
Thanks to the proceeds from an IMLS Enhancement Grant, as well as the Library Basic grant, new materials are arriving weekly into the library. As a direct result, patronage to the library has also increased. The library's virtual library is now up and running. Free downloadable eBooks and audiobooks are now available 24 hours a day 7 days a week via our library's online catalog. Is wonderful to see a bustling library that is being used by the community.
Responsibilities
The library strives to be the central access-to-information center for Tribal members and the community. Our catalog of books and materials is available online; please feel free to browse our selections.
Library Cards
Patrons of the Quapaw Tribal (QT) Library must have a QT Library Card to use library services. Cards may be obtained either by submitting the online card request form or by stopping by the library.
Free Audiobook, E-Book, Music & Video Downloads
Quapaw Tribal Library has expanded its services with audiobooks, eBooks, music, and video, available to download from the library's website. Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting this site and clicking on the online catalog link.
Users may browse the library's website, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. Users will need to install free software. For audiobooks, music, and video: OverDrive® Media Console™. To read eBooks, users will need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, and many others. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!
